Well, I have been pondering as to what image I should post on NPN, since it is my first post here! I was checking out the photo Marc Adamus posted here a few days ago of his B&W "Oregon Sea Tunnel - The Inside Out" As usual I was really impressed with it. I happened to be there with Marc a year ago when he captured that awesome piece of art;
Light From Within
During that photo session in the fall 2009, I decided to switch gears and try a different "long Lens" perspective of the same sea tunnel. How we came out of that photo session with dry gear is beyond me!

Floris, I have heard about your amazing and unique images from Marc! I also like the way you look at the natural world

I had intended to capture a wave cresting in the center of the triangular frame. As you can see from this image, the seas were ruff out there! I had to dodge huge waves that were coming down the the sea tunnel and crashing into a series of huge boulders we were standing on!! I have many frames of waves crashing in front of the sea tunnel, but the timing on this capture was just right!
Rich, I was using a 70-200mm f2.8 lens and this image was taken at 1/500sec at f4.5 with ISO400
Welcome to NPN, James!
