...well, mostly sky, actually. Start of a short series from Porth Nanven in Cornwall, UK. A bit of a change of gear after all the Autumn foliage shots.

Yeah, I could see this on a wall, but I'd want it to be huge!!!!

Yes I agree with Chris I think this would be quite impressive as a very large piece.

Beautiful sky. I like the feeling of expansiveness.

Talk about minimalism! A perfect example of "less is more" and one that in my opinion will only look stronger the larger you print it.

Superb, Julian. Love the simplicity and your exquisite composition. The thin strip of sea and the centered rocks with that glorious sky all comes together so very well. As others stated, print it big.

What makes this so effective, Julian, I think, is the absolutely parallel water and bottom of the image. It makes the sky seem like it really is this big, which it is, but still this image makes it feel bigger than we normally perceive it, which is part, of course, why this is such a neat image . . . if you know what I mean. Oh, and if you do know, could you please explain it to me.

Beautifully uncomplicated. I notice that the formation on the right is centered horizontally. I’m wondering if you considered framing this initially, or cropping the original image, so that the two formations together are centered?

If David Muench ever shot in the UK, this what I would imagine he would come back with! Love the "unorthodox" composition, it's just perfect. :toast:
