Cold Shower

Carlsbad, California

Seems like I can't make up my mind recently. I'll post one take on a place, then find another similar comp that I like upon further review. This one originally didn't do anything first go around because I was looking for the images that had some warm sunset light on them. So, here's one that is about 180 degrees away in terms of color/warmth from this one.

Canon 5Dmk2, 90mm TS-E

I really like this, Jimmy. Great little intimate scene, with good color contrast between the blues and warm colored rocks. I might burn down the bright rocks along the bottom, but minor nit. It looks like a waterfall. Very well done.

Jimmy, even though this shot does not have the light the other one has, the inclusion of more of the rocks brings in the color in my opinion. I like the comp quite a bit.

I like the "cool" take. I would consider cropping some of the water on top. It's not interesting enough imo to show as much of it as you have. The rocks are what interests me.

Such colourful rocks. Not the same light as the last one but I think a stronger comp. :toast:

Close to a 50-50 comp and it works very well here. The rocks are great and the water as captured adds an interesting abstract quality that I find appealing, especially where the water meets the stones. :toast:

You sure do have a way with seascapes, both intimate and grand. Nice choice of shutter speed to leave a little texture in the water...I like it!

I like the light reflection form these rocks and water movement. Great picture.

This works great, in fact I think I prefer this version over the other you linked to. The cool blues work nicely with the colorful, wet rocks.

I really like the sense of the water coming from above, like a shower. Nice comp. Cyan seems a little high, but that could easily be this uncalibrated laptop.
