Another from my morning at Chilliwack Lake.I was hoping for better skies when the light hit the peak and I had to clone out a contrail that was almost straight off the peak.

The peak and sky are awesome! I understand the temptation to want to get the water reflection in--but here that may have been counterproductive, cause unfortunately the bit of water isnt all that aesthetic (been there, done that )

This is a nice compliment to your other photo from the same location Dean. That is some nice colour and light on the peak and clouds. The creek provides a nice lead in. I think you could message the foreground snow a little more and get some reflective colour on it. I really see that in the left hand corner. Cheers

Beautiful light on the peak. I like the reflection, too, but would either crop to the bottom of the reflection or to the edge of the bank on the right. Nice work!

Thanks for comments. I have comps with the crop suggestions but by the time I had recomposed the light had changed and lost it's colour , and I didn't want a 50/50 comp for this one but here's a cropped version.Raymond-I'm not sure how I would go about getting the reflective colour on the snow, any hints would be appreciated.

Very nice. I like the composition as you're presented it.

I know what you mean about the sky Dean. Sometimes things start to look like they are going to kick ass only to have the clouds move out of the frame just enough to drive you nuts. I see what you are going for with the composition and it would have worked well had those clouds stayed where they should have. ;]

I like the journey presented by the original post. And as mentioned, if you brought out some of the reflected color on the blc it would even become a more enticing lead in. Great dark mood here.

Nice scene. Could see bringing out more contrast in the snow as it seems a bit dark.

I like the overall image. Maybe the slight cropping of the foreground -- as you have in the second -- version. But I like the reflection and think it makes this photograph more than just another mountain peak. I also like the color in the reflection. And, the textures in the snow are very nice, especially along the edge of the water on the left.

Nice line from creek to peak. The sky and mountains are really nice too, and I like the subtle reflections in the creek!

Dean, great photograph! I do like the crop or new comp it really does make the peak more dominant in the frame.
