Pohono

Thanks for the feedback on my last image. I think of all my recent autumn image posted so far is probably my favorite.

This image here I have been trying to get for many years. This image is a crop from a vertical image that included the Merced. It did not work well with the river, and the trees were what I was interested with. Its an area just East of the Pohono Bridge, one of my favorite areas in the park.

Your feedback is much appreciated.

I think id really have to see this big to appreciate it fully--its a bit busy to begin with, and all the detail gets a bit confused at this size. But with those factors (which are beyond your control) considered, it looks good to me, some nice light and subject matter.

Jpeg compression isn't helping this, but I can see it's a lovely scene, well composed. I'd love to see it as a print.

This is also my favorite of the ones from Yosemite that you've posted recently.

Like Stan says, it's probably awesome as a larger image. Really a lot going on with no real patterns to speak of.

Even at this size, the variety of color and layering in the leaves is quite apparent and very appealing. LLC is sort of cover with you logo here, but it seems like its lightness might be a bit distracting otherwise.

Youssef,

Your shots from Pohono area are all excellent. For some reason, I have trouble putting together comps there--perhaps I need to look deeper. This works nicely for me, even though its a bit busy--but forests are like that. Compression is hurting this a little, so I'd encourage you to post a larger image when you can. I agree with Tony that the LLC is a bit distracting. I do like the color of the various trees.

Nice work!

Youssef,

I love the trees and forest captured here; the colors/sat processing all look good. I would agree with others about the bottom. Not just the LL, but most of the bottom seems unsettled. It's like you didn't even have to say that you didn't like or want to include the river and you were trying to find a place to cut this one - if that makes sense. Regardless, this is still a beautiful scene and I can see why you like it so much.
