A friend of mine found this beautiful little Eyelash Viper while we were traveling in Costa Rica last winter. Unfortunately it was super-dark under the canopy, but I did manage a couple of shots.

All C&C always welcome .

Nice shot, ... This baby brings back memories for me. I ran around in the jungle of Panama, mostly at night without flashlights most of the time, just my dog leading the way, back in the early 80's for three years while in the Army. The Fer-da-lance and Bushmaster did not bother me as much with them being ground snakes, but this viper loves to hang around up in bushes, vines and trees (as you captured so well).

Thanks for sharing....

I think you framed this guy very well. It is always so hard to get all of the snake to fit. I also like the way you have placed snake and perch from corner to corner. Nicely done.

HI Kyle,

You can pretty much ditto me on Sally's comments. It's a shame that the one smaller branch overlaps and interferes with the view of the snake, but there's little you could have done about that!

Cheers...
