The reflection here creates a wonderful sense of peace in this scene. Contrail is a bit of bummer, though it does add some texture to the sky.

Nice image Jim. The contrail doesn't bother me, after all maybe it's a long, skinny cloud. It does break up an otherwise featureless sky. Compositionally I might consider cropping the btm about 15% to remove the relection of the WF. Regardless, a strong image as presented.

I love the color that is going on in the FG of this image Jim! And a nice exposure of the waterfall. I'd suggest the opposite, get rid of the contrail and the sky completely, with just the waterfall pouring out of the top and leaving the FG intact. Just IMO, beautiful!

I love the warm greens and soft patterns in the water. I know this is not at all what you had in mind but I think the composition can be made stronger by cropping about 1/3 off the bottom (yes, sacrificing the reflection).

I'm really liking this one, Jim. That smooth reflection makes this really nice.

Very relaxing and tranquil scene, beautifully processed with a subtle color palette. I like Guy's crop suggestion.

Jim,

Excellent capture from the Swinging Bridge. Man, the water sure was high!

I can understand the crop suggestions, but I like this as presented. The long exposure really helped enhance the colors and made the reflection a little less ordinary with the motion in the water.

8 seconds though at f/11 an iso 100? Did you have an ND filter? Still early in the morning, but there's lots of light and I would think at these settings this would be totally washed out. But regardless, the image you have here is a good one from Yosemite.

Thanks for all the feedbacks. I felt the composition suffers a little due to my intention of including the entire water fall and reflection. I think I can make two photos by cropping out portion of either top or bottom. These two photos will produce different mood.

Lon, this photo was taken at a vista point close to the swing bridge(I think next stop point toward the valley). Yes, I did use a ND filter and possible a CP filter too. I wanted to smooth out the water.
