A Barn Owl from a few I haven t processed yet, I liked this view of him as I liked the delicate feathers slightly fluffed out, might not be to everyones liking just a different pose for me.

I like it, interesting perspective. Feather detail is beautiful but then I am a sucker for a Barn Owl! :jump:

Great shot Karen - lovely light :toast: :toast: :toast - my only nit is that the eye looks a bit oversharpened.:

Hi Karen a good image but I am not so keen on the back view.

Does it for me Karen. Hate to mildly disagree with Phil T but I always think that the back view of a bird is under-rated as it show lots of interesting detail that people don't usually see but you do need to get that catchlit eye as you have. It always makes me feel that the photographer has captured a moment from the wild, of a subject acting naturally. jmo of course.

Love the pose different and natural, love the catchlight brings the bird to life. Composition has no real rules Karen just follow your heart then press the shutter button as you have here as every image tells their own story   :wavey:

Different and very nice too! I agree about rear views of birds as long as they are posing nicely, as here.

Hello Karen.

Works for me and I like rear views as they show so much more detail in the birds plumage.

Good composition and very nice light, and the sharpening is fine fine for me.
