Shot this the day after Xmas in Arches NP. We were the only people there and my wife was sweet enough to listen to me for about 6 seconds and stand still. There was a clu=oud bank behind me that was lit up like it was on fire and cast some really nice reflected light onto the stone.

excellent take on a classic - the colors are amazing and the silhouetted figure puts it all into perspective :toast:

You are lucky to have a wife who would listen to you for 6 seconds

Nice framing with sense of scale. However, it is a little oversaturate with red for my taste. In addition, I would crop edges all around.

Thanks for the comments.
Jim- It does look pretty saturated, but the images was shot at 5880K, which is pretty cool for cloudy to open shade, and at minus 1 stop for some color pop. Thanks for your time.

Awesome! The use of a human in the landscape is very effective here, all the more as it is such an iconic location.

Great image of a beautiful place! I really like the addition of your wife to add scale. What a great Christmas gift she gave you to listen for a few moments...maybe I'll do that for my husband next year...
Happy New Year!

The red seemed over saturated on my work monitor. On my calibrated monitor at home, the red is not overpowering at all.

Great lighting and use of your wife for scale. I do the same when she isn't too cold standing around waiting for me! The red look a tad oversaturated, but still in the realm of realistic when considering how light can play upon red rock. A beautiful location.
