Decided to combine images again for some increased DOF. This time I combined consecutive images to get both the eye and the body in sharp focus (was really a glorified cut and paste). Exif for both shots was identical.

Nikon D300s 105mm f/2.8 VR + 1.7X TC HH
f/18
1/200s
ISO 800
-.33 EC

Full Frame, two images processed together in ACR then stacked in CS5, deleted everything but the eye from the top layer. Processed on 27" iMac (which makes matching up shots like this oh-so-easy!

Beautiful shot Luke! I love the detail and focus. The "cut and paste" job was quite effective. I also really like the comp, and the lighting is excellent. Great job!

Luke:
Nice looking DF. Great job for blending two HH images!! You must have arms of steel to keep this perfectly aligned between shots.

Marvelous shot. I don't know how you can get so close to these guys . . . they take off any time I move within 6 feet of them. Processing looks perfect.
