Absolutely fantastic!! The comp is strong, the clouds complement wonderfully, and the processing is good. I especially like that the light on the point is not harsh and overpowering.

Another good one, Doug.

The potholes reflecting the rock and sky are really nice. It's also interesting how the clouds perfectly fit around the rock.

I really like all the elements of this. The light & reflection in the red rock pools sings. The main part of the image feels a little loose & bullseyed. It works, and esp. with the arcing cloud, but part of me would still like to see the comp slightly tighter.

Doug,

What a beautiful desert landscape from the Am. Southwest. Just a great composition with the reflecting pools and the light striking the rock formations is sweet and beautiful. Great sky to finish off the composition. No nits or suggestions from me.

Awesome Doug, I was hoping to find some conditions like this on my last trip to Arches, but didn't come away with anything this nice!

The contrasting colors and the reflective pools are sweet, and some great light on the sandstone. Well done. :toast:

The composition feels a little bit static given the centering of the main subject, but all the other elements complement really well the scene. Good job!

This shot comes together very nicely. Between the reflection, the dappled light on the formation, and the clouds that mimic the shape of the rock, all the pieces of this puzzle fit perfectly. Although I really love the color on this one, I also suggest exploring B&W. In the past, I've found that photos with reflections and clouds can bet taken outside the realm of reality and into an almost dream-like state when a good B&W conversion is done. Since you have contrasting colors here, there is a lot of potential for making a dramatic B&W conversion.
