A dreamy version of summer, -27 here so this image is especially lovely. I can image laying in the meadow with your eyes half closed ,daydreaming and this would be the image you would see! It defiantly evokes lazy summer days!

Albert,
I think I'm out of my depth on these types of images (SOA). The yellow wash over the pink flowers doesn't work for me. I'm not sure any color of wash except possibly white would. Also, I'm having trouble letting my eye come to rest naturally in the image. I think you were very successful in creating the summer mood but for my tastes, I actually think I might prefer the image without the pink flowers. I am probably the only one here who will react to it this way. (smile)

I personally like the colors and comp - but I'm having a little trouble finding something to focus on, so the image seems kind of "random" to me.
Definitely makes me look forward to summer, though!

Albert:
A fantasy following a dreamy (Beth's) image.
I like the cheerful mood of this but having problem resting my eyes on it.

I like this a lot and the yellow wash works well for me. I do agree with the comments about the lack of a "resting place" for the eyes . . . actually, the cluster on the far LHS of the image is the best resting place since it's in focus, but it's too far to the edge to serve that purpose well. I'd actually consider cropping it out as for me it is a bit of a distraction.

Nice color palette and lighting, Albert. I think what I might like a bit better is if the pink flowers were also in the center of the image so that the entire image was filled with the pink flowers. Thay way the eye could settle a bit more in the image. I like the dreamy feel to it.

Albert: My thoughts echo Phil to a tee. The sharp flowers on the left edge pull me away from the scene a bit. I do like the color palette and can certainly imagine myself wandering through this wonderful spot. >=))>

Love the pinks and the soft bg with green and yellow. I have got to try this this summer.

And a beautiful fantasy it is, Albert! Love the colors and the shallow dof. Makes me feels as if I am there having a daydream.
