I Dream

Not sure why but this image reminds me of a dream. Anyway, I shot the flower with the dream in mind, kind of floating in the sky, no details, just impression.

Larger version for a larger dream

There is a touch of noise which I will fix before saving master.

Definitely a different sort of photo, Beth, but it works very well in my opinion. There's a nice synergy between the flower and the cloud (I assume that's what the light spot is) and the softness of the image does contribute to a dreamy mood.

Beth:
I think you have achieved your dream with this shot. Should be great printed poster size - for mega dream. I like this very much - not quite solidified form but still recognizable flower.

Beth,

Love the color palette and I like the flower but the image as a whole is not really working for me. The white circle and trailing stream suggest movement - like whatever it is that's moving has just jumped out of the flower. It seems at odds to the otherwise dreamlike mood of the image. So, I guess really where I'm having my problem here is with the shape of the cloud and what strikes me as it's rapid movement. This may very well just be me and certainly none of the other commentators are having a problem with it. So feel free to take it with a grain or even a half grain of salt.

Beth: I like the flower a lot but like Pat I'm having a little trouble with the cloud. I almost wish it was bigger and more amorphous. Great color palette and a nice step out of the box. >=))>
