Sony A700
Tokina 828 AT-X Pro @ 120mm
ISO 400, 1/10 @ f11

Skyline Drive, Shenandoah NP

Not much going on around our place so I thought I would post one of my favorites from our trip to Virginia and North Carolina this fall. This little scene literally made me hit the brakes and go investigate. Chaotic certainly but I did think the colors were arresting and besides, if Pat can post a shot with birds then I'll post a shot with rocks . All comments welcome. >=))>

Small versions of your landscapes shouldn't be allowed Bill. I could spend a lot of time looking at the larger version of this without getting tired of it. Masterful landscape work for my tastes. Deserves to be printed really large and displayed on someone's wall. Superb...

Oh, and by the way. You can post all the rocks you want as far as I'm concerned. (smile)

Beautifully clear, beautiful colors. I love especially the red against the rocks.

I've looked at this for awhile, Bill. I'm finding it difficult to decide about the image. On my work monitor the lighting seems a bit harsh, midday like, as the fall colors seem a bit washed out. I like the rocks and texture and the comp overall. I don't know...perhaps I just haven't enough coffee yet to wake me up  Thanks for sharing.

Hi Bill...I'm at home and on my home monitor this looks much better  The colors aren't nearly washed out and the comp really stands out well. Just goes to show...check the REAL monitor for a truer view!
