Redwing

So, the first photo of the year - one of the first I've taken as well. I was sitting at the computer, when (only for the second time ever in my garden) two Redwings landed on the lawn. I crept round to the kitchen and lay down on the floor, but so as not to scare them away, I had to shoot through double glazing. Then I suddenly remembered that the camera was set to Jpeg! Damn! Anyway, here is one of them (a jpeg).

Nikon D300s
Nikon 200-400mm at 400
Handheld
F4
1/125s
ISO 800

Oscar,

Love this. The low pov works really well.

Looks good to me despite the extra glass and the jpg.... perhaps a bit tight on the virtual tail but that is only minor...

John, I prefer RAWS as you can change the white balance on images, and I feel you have more control. However, they take up so much space!

The low POV works beautifully, Oscar, and considering you were shooting through glass you have a very sharp shot as well.

Looks good Oscar doesnt seem to suffer from the glass. Excellent, quick thinking. :toast:

Should have been doing coursework though!
