Another image of part of the limestone pavement geological feature at Ystradfellte near Neath in S. Wales UK.

This was taken and processed at the same time as the one I uploaded a few days ago, I just resized it for this website, I didn't tone this one.

I really like it. Great tonality, and excellent b&w.

I love the mood you have captured here Geoffrey. The B&W conversion is wonderful.

Fantastic and moody black and white image, Geoffrey. Love the FG and how the dark sky at top seems to be pushing on the tree. This is really nice.

Geoffrey.

Nicely captured. I like the b&w treatment - although you might try the same toning as the horizontal image posted last week. Good mood lurking here I think. Compositionally, I like the little trench in the limestone allowing the viewer to be drawn in to the scene. The only suggestion would be a slight crop of the sky closer to a 5:4 ratio (for you UK folks... ) I think you could still retain enough dark sky to help with mood, but really all of it may not be needed. But that's just one view.

Oh, I don't know what those little white specs are, but they are mildly distracting. Now that's a nitpick!

Nice. Has a very arty fell with the B&W processing and the arrangement of light.

I like this very much!! Only thought, crop the very top, dark sky in half, leaving enough room above the tree. That's sweet!

A very nice b/w, Geoffrey. I like the way the crack winds in from the right and leads to the tree. Very nice tone and mood. I agree regarding cropping the sky, but only a small amount imho.
