Curious as to what you think of this tight pano style comp.
Cropped to 3200 x 1600 from the original. It came in near the right side, bottom. Added some canvas RT. F/7.1, 1/2700th, ISO 640, no flash.
Canon 1D M3, 300mm f/2.8 + 1.4x ext.
Comments & suggestions always appreciated.

Personally Howard, I would like a bit more room on the bottom. But, comps are a very individual thing, so take my comment for what it is worth. I like the position you caught the bird in. Great BG too.

Neat action & pose Howard, love the realistic blues and the eye contact. I'd like to see a little more room on the bottom if you have it, it feels a bit tight there IMO.

Didn't have any room bottom original. Adding BG is one thing.
The small tree trunk quite another :wavey:

Great action, Howard. It does feel a bit tight, and I'd be tempted to try to add more canvas bottom and right, though adding more tree trunk would be a bit tricky unless you can steal it from another frame. Excellent detail and exposure, and it's still excellent as posted. :toast:

Howard,
Two thumbs up! Love the capture.Nit about crop noted. You did what you could and it is not bad in itself.

Nice catch of the jay coming off the branch Howard. I can see where more canvas at the bottom would be logical but I'm leaning toward just the opposite. Have you tried any crops with more room at the top?

Intriguing image - love the folded wing dive.

I'd prefer more space as well below the jay.

Howard, you should name this one "Geronimo!" Not sure how that saying was even started? I like the action in this, but also would like to see more room on the bottom.

Nice pose. Yeah, a little tight, but its the first one I can see fully enlarged on my laptop. Great BG and sharpness.

This is a very cool capture, Howard. Great background colors and nice and sharp. Not sure about the crop. It is quite tight in the frame for my taste. However, that is a personal preference. I am really glad you posted this, that is a really cool position that you captured.
