Jackals fighting over a kill.
I'm pleased to share this frame from my first shoot in 2011.
This carcass happened to feed a pack of Jackals for three days and at the end of it, they all appeared very healthy and fat.
Canon 7D, 500mm, ISO 250, 1/800 sec. at f 5.
Thank you so much for your kind attention & views!

Beautiful light and action. The ribcage is a nice touch.

I love the toothy snarl of the jackal on our right. Congrats on being in position for this interaction! I like the warm light, the catchlights, the ribcage and pink mouths. I assume you may have already applied a bit of brightness boost to the shadow side of the faces? If not, I would experiment (and maybe decide you already have found optimum) with a touch more.

 A gripping image Jagdeep! The techs look great and that ribcage indeed adds a lot, it explains the reason for the fight. :toast:

Great looking shot Jagdeep! You've captured the action and drama of the scene extremely well here.

Powerful image. Great interactive facial expressions/posturing. The thoracic cage in the lower left is an important part of the story as well as one of the focal points in the frame. If you have the pixels a slightly tighter crop from the top would enhance the action.

I like the behavior and interaction. Nice light. Excellent capture of the ferocious snarl and the teeth on the Jackal on the right. :toast:

I like the action, light, snarl and overall composition with the ribcage showing, way to go.

Stunning action shot. I like the light, BG, and the teeth of the jackals. The ribcage improves the composition. The only nit I see, not much you could do, is the vertical branch above the back of the jackal on the left, it distracts me a little, but I don't think this is a huge deal.

Nice interaction you captured here. I like how you've got full view of both their faces without them actually looking at you. Also like the warm light, the ribcage, and the hint of trees in the BG.
