Nikon D300, Nikkor 70-200 + TC 1.7 @320mm. F/6.3, 1/400, ISO 400. EC + 1.3.

I will try to post more often, if I can capture some interesting birds. This week I was surrounded with Chickadees, hope you enjoy this little beauty. Comments appreciated.

Good job in what appears to have been tough light. Perhaps tease a bit more detail out of the black cap?

Nice pose and exposure for the light you appeared to have Albert, love the light in the eye. I'd see if I could work on getting a little more detail in the blacks if this were mine.

Cute little guy. I like the pose and perch, and the exposure. It's hard to tell without a larger version, but looks to me there's plenty of detail in the blacks.

This is lovely, the eye is great as is the perch
I agree about trying to get more detail in the black cap.
A great image, well done.

Geoff.

Nice comp and I like the perch and the overall image is lovely. The best detail here seems to be in the feet and claws. If wish there was more DOF because some definition between the left half of the bird and the background seems to be missing.

Just wonderful, Albert! No doubt who is the center of attention, the bird fills the frame nicely. High key works well on this. Good going!

Beautifully posed chickadee, Albert. Interesting perch. Nice catchlight in the eye. The high-key look does work here. However, I do believe that that there is likely room for a little more post processing to try to reveal more detail and to increase vibrance. You might be able to make this little bird pop off the page even more than it does now. :toast:
