Norman's Farmhouse

First, I chose the name as Reno DiTullio commented in my previous "Our Winter Farmhouse" post that it reminded him of a Norman Rockwell scene, and upon further reflection, it does to me.

I went back and looked at the other captures from that day, and after a crop and processing, I felt this image was by far the best of the lot.

I discarded the more pano treatment, and as Bob Miller pointed out previously, the bottom did draw attention away from the house so I think that problem is solved. And in this image, you can even see the smoke coming out of the chimney--NOT added in PSE.
D60, ISO-100, 1/200th sec., f-11, aperture mode, 55mm. Larger posted, thank you for viewing and any C&C.

Bill: I noticed the smoke even before seeing your comment and thought it was a nice touch. I especially like the larger version. Marvelous scene superbly captured. >=))>

Yes, this one is very nice Bill. I did like the other one too. I like the light and shadow, and then of course that great red house with the blue in the sky. I really enjoy scenes like this.

A beautiful, quaint, pastoral scene Bill.

A simple setting aided by some interesting cloud cover - I like the use of lines in this

Looks like the house is slanted a little ccw? Perhaps an optical illusion... I sure like the contrast of colors, the gentle curves of the landscape and the overall mood.

Thank you Luke and Catherine... the house looks that way in all of the photos, so I'm assuming it's leaning or there is something going on with the topography up there that makes it appear that way. Anyway, it's not a rotation issue, thanks!!
