Sony A700
Minolta 24-85 @ 60mm
ISO 200, 1/8 @ f8

Tremont area, GSMNP

This is another one I Ortoned/warmed a bit. This is one I am going to print fairly large. This old lens has probably been my most faithful landscape tool for many years and I'm always pleasantly surprised at how sharp it is at f8 and f11. All comments welcome.>=))>

This has such great mood - I can feel the water dripping off me from the mist. Don't you love being in the woods on days like this, listening to the drops fall from the trees and all.

Well done, Bill. I see why you will print this large. I like the
mood. The red color in the upper left adds a nice touch.

I love this one Bill, particularly the mood. The processing is perfect for my tastes. I'd print it large too only difference would be I'd hang it on my wall. (smile)

Wonderful mood Bill. I too like the red in ULC. Now I need to go dry off before returning to work.

Again, a great effect with the Orton. Yes, it is a real mood enhancer and makes the light just magical. Excellent image!

Great shot Bill, particularly the mood created by the fog. The Orton doesn't strike me as obvious, at least in this web presentation, but I can see how it may enhance the overall presentation. I personally have a preference for somewhat more silky water in general, but this works very well.

Masterful touch on the orton effect, Bill. Gorgeous scene. I understand why it's in flora, but sure has the feel of a landscape shot. Whatever, I sure wouldn't mind a look at a large print and might wish that your wall was in my house!

What I love the most about this image is that it puts me into that place so effortlessly. I hear the water and feel the closeness of the humidity and smell the forest. This image evokes the sense of place in a beautiful, peaceful way. :toast:
