This image is from late October 2010; 2 images stitched then cropped to a standard size– multiple layers of that image reworked in Photoshop. Looking downhill in the northern Adirondacks.
C&C welcome, thanks for looking.

Ron:
Beautiful fall colors with earthy tone. Like the glow in the leaves. No suggestions. Very well done.

I like the colours. I was wondering why this is in Photo Art instead of landscape?

I'm inclined to agree with Dean here, if you posted this in the landscape gallery I think you would have a lot more feedback. Anyway, it's a wonderful looking autumn shot. The natural colours throughout look great.
Gary.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. DH & GM - Posted in Photo Art because of the pixel manipulation in Photoshop. There are 6 layers here of various opacity, 2 layers are "pixel-picked" reds and yellows pushed a bit to help the colors glow, and one layer has a motion blur to smooth out and modulate the background colors...an affect I couldn't achieve otherwise. Therefore not posted in Landscape.

Ron, I LOVE this! I appreciate the composition of the straight photograph, but find it not very exciting. Your manipulation has transormed the scene into one that does a much better job of evoking memories of enjoying such scenes in person. I think your beautiful interpreation is actually more accurate in recreating memories than the more literal photograph. (I have noticed this in other work in the the Photo Art Gallery, and Recenly purchased some software to help me work in that direction, but you have gotten where I wanted to go using just Photoshop.)

I really, really like this. Great tonal interest, wonderful clarity, and strong linear elements.
