Spring Yet?

Just thinking about spring a lot these days. Looking forward to trips to the woods to see what has awakened. Maybe a spring beauty, trout lily, violet or lady slipper. Croaking frogs and birds singing. Sunshine. Sigh.

This was taken a couple of years ago. There was a nice diffused sky and almost no wind. Tough though to keep from blowing out white trilliums and I have a hard time telling on my old monitor.

Nikon D2X, 17-55 mm at 32 mm. F 18, 1/8 sec.

Ummm, nope not here yet. But this sure does have me longing for it. It was actually sunny and 74 degrees today in the South Bay area of California.

Anywhere from 6in to 1ft of snow due tonight, so this is a great escape (I am sure for others in the NE). Nice intimate scene Tom. Wish there was a larger view to enjoy the flowers.

Lovely Tom. Does make you long for spring, but I'm not ready for winter (Florida style) to be over yet!

Very nice spring picture Tom. Snowing over here today. Might be really nice later. Guess I need a little more winter yet

I like the cut-off trunks and their spacing. :toast: Makes me wish I was there!

Tom,

Excellent composition. Beautiful display of the flowers in spring and I really just love how you've crafted this simple and lovely scene. Not a nit, but this could maybe use a skosh more room on the left? maybe not, and certainly a minor point. Well done.

wonderful - exposure looks good - we don't need alot of detail in the petals when part of the 'big scene'. Comp works well.

That is one sweet forest carpet of trilliums you found here! Nicely done.
