A shot from early this month...and as always..please view large
After struggling through kneedeep fresh snow for quite some time i reached this partially open river. This was a particular composition i had been trying to shoot for several months, but the conditions have never been the way i`ve visioned it in my head. This time everything fell into place...
After shooting this one i struggled for another hour to get to another previsualized spot, just to find out it was useless...So i went back to this spot, followed the river downstream and witnessed an intense aurorashow. Managed to get a good one of the show...
I`ve also put up a blog. Something i never thought i would do, but i figured it would be a practical place to post longer stories and info about my photographic expeditions. Feel free to visit: http://www.arildheitmann.wordpress.com
Have a wonderful weekend all you great shooters!

What does that mean? I checked the box "include in your gallery"...
Seriously, this image is a marvel and an absolute joy to view. Composition and subjects are near flawless. I have no suggestions...just a sense of wonder this morning. Thank you for that.
I am in complete awe that you captured such an image. What an incredible photo that has me in a dreamlike trance.

Star filled sky and aurora and its reflections look amazing. Liked the textures in the FG snow here. The smaller snow covered rocks in the water makes the image even better.

You have great work, Arild! I am 100% Norske, and plan to visit Norway for the first time in my life either this May or Next! I hope to get something this good from there! There's a couple villages in the Northern Area where the peaks and fiords rise straight up out of the sea for thousands of feet...and I just have to visit. I have had a poster of this area since I was a kid and have put it on "the list" to visit.

Congrats omn the EP!
Now you don't have to worry that the image will be deleted. Generally, images go away (for lack of unending room on the site) after a period of time - UNLESS you check the "include in Gallery" option - then, they stay in your Gallery forever.
Also, all WP's you get remain in your gallery forever.
So , now, with ther EP, we get the pleasure of seeing this in your Gallery forever.
