Subtle dreams

This show was taken near Santa Barbara. Along the horizon is the channel islands. I really like the subtle soft light of this image in the sky and against the rocks. Let me know what you think. I think viewing this image large really shows off the detail in the rocks.

Very nice arrangement of the stones. I guess you could boost the colors of the sky just a bit, otherwise it's wonderful.

Nice image Todd. I like the composition a lot. This type of "blurry" water isn't my favorite, but that's just personal perference. I do agree with Andreas' comment about the sky color.

I thinks it is a kind of alienation effect, as the water looks like mist, but in this case it works well for me. You really captured the atmosphere, I appreciate the details in the foreground.

You're right that the large is the only way to go here. It's a peaceful FG and balanced, and love the soft peaceful mood this conveys. I think bumping the sky a bit would help this image, but that may not be the mood you want to convey?

Very nice compositon and I liek the quility of the light on the stones. The second version is better with the darker sky, I might add some mroe saturation too the sky too (just the sky) :wavey:

Light is good. So is the dotted rocks composing the foreground and the blurred water.

A really good comp. A little mid tone contrast in the sky and disguising the halo on the horizon would be my points to try to improve.

Nice shot! :toast:

Beautiful composition in this shot, the soft blurry water really works for me, I love that effect.
