Colorado Summer Dreaming

by Anne K. Rusk

As the state is gripped by negative temps, I am dreaming of things I'll see this summer. Here is Colorado's state flower, the Columbine, in a meadow en route to Herman Gulch along the Continental Divide. All C&C welcome!
Thanks for looking,
Anne

Great echoing of the shapes in this shot Anne. Nice details and excellent colors. The DOF works well for me.

I like this Anne and I don't normally care for echoing flowers of the same kind. This works for me though. Beautiful image.

Anne: I like your comp and DOF choice. Columbines are one of my favorites and I'm always glad to find some when I'm up your way. Beautiful shot.>=))>

Ah yes, this makes me do some dreaming, too! I really like the comp with the curve of the columbines, and the colors and light is excellent as well. Very nicely done!

This is just gorgeous, Anne ! The front flower is so beautifully rendered, the bluish petals being especially entrancing, and the composition, with the oof flowers falling away out of the frame, could not be better in my view.

Anne:
Lovely flowers. Looks like I might be the only one who find the echo a little distracting. The OOF blooms are perhaps a little bright and competing with the fg. May be just selective dimming or reducing the luminosity of the OOF would be enough.
