Bold Peak, Chugach State Park, Alaska

This is the cover photo of my new book. After sitting in a tent for three days in the pouring rain, Bold Peak finally revealed itself in pure alpine glory.

That's really nice, Carl. It sure is nice to get up above the tree line, isn't it? This is just makes you want to start hiking out across there; it really pulls you in.

WOW! Stunning - love the composition, with the valley down the middle of the shot leading you to the moutain at the back :toast: :toast:

This is definitely one of those photographs you wish you could just walk right into. Very inviting. The sky doesn't sit quite right with me, but the bright light and colors in the foreground are brilliant.

Unusual photo perspective perhaps violating the rule of 3rds but your presentation works nicely
Great depth--I like.
Oblique lines capture the eyes.
Great color contrast.
Frame it !!!
