Red fox

NikonD300
Nikkor 70-200 mm F 2,8
ISO 400

Handheld

This Fox was preying on coots, without any luck. I figured that the fox would follow the riverbank, so I waited on that path. At times I couldn’t t see the fox anymore…camouflage really work well on these little critters, but he ( or she) did continue and for a brief moment he gave me this look.

Beauty here Loulou... Great image here ..and you have done very well with the composition. The out of focus in the foreground adds a lot here. Well done.

Like how you caught him looking through the opening. Nice eye contact.

Very nice Loulou. I like how most of the vegetation is very OOF, which makes the fox stand out so well. Also the fact that the whole head is clear amongst all those twigs is making this even more striking. :toast:

I'm sure a lot of us would have been looking at all that vegetation 'clutter' and hoping for an open stretch of riverbank to get a clean shot. But you've worked with that vegetation and created a really wonderful image.
Very well done.

Good timing with the capture and your processing enhances the effect. Nice work.

Awesome image- great expression of the fox, beautifully framed by the OOF foreground- if there is room in the file, I'd leave a bit more BG on top- very well done, Fabio

I love how you used the branches in the foreground to frame his face. You really captured a great look that makes you wonder what he's thinking.
