Long-Eared Owl

Have not posted for a long time but decided to renew my membership and try again. Taken near Medicine Hat, Alberta. We have had an unusual amount of snow this winter and are seeing many more of both Short and Long-Eared owls than usual. This was taken late in the day so I think colors are true but was wondering if it looks to warm or oversaturated. All C&C appreciated.

Camera Model Canon EOS 40D
Shooting Mode Aperture-Priority AE

I really like this image. The composition and the mood are first class. Love the pose and the stare in the owl. Great background and lighting. Well done.

A terrific image. Not an owl I"m used to seeing out of a busy tangle of branches. THe light/warmth is very nice.

I like this a lot Mark. The warm light is very nice, as are the colors overall. I also like the owl looking down, the background and the post perch. Welcome back.

Looks great to me Mark. Love the warm tones and they look natural to me. Owls face is sharp and the post is weathered thus adding to the feel of the image. Great BG. Well done.
