Northern Pintail

At Bolsa Chica, Ca. this morning. I did not capture the eye very well but I do like the wing detail. I cropped this a lot to eliminate some floating sticks and other Pintails. I like the colors and the action.

Comments are appreciated.

Sweet pose and excellent detail and light, Harry. A nice head turn to produce a catchlight would have capped it off, but they don't always cooperate. :toast:

Overall I really like the pose Harry, althugh a bit of light in the eye and/or more of a head turn would have been an improvement IMO. The colors look a little warmer than I'm used to seeing in this species - perhaps it's just the light...

I like the pose and the light. It shows the colors in the wing plumage nicely. I agree a catchlight would have been nice. Well done.

Nice detail in those feathers over the back, especially with this much crop. Wish for a little more head turn.

I like the colors and the action, too, and the look of the wings and tail.

Harry,
I like the plumage pattern you have nicely captured here. Very nice light too. :toast:

I like the look from the back Harry. I do agree with others that just a bit of glint in the eye would have helped this image. The large crop is evident, but still a nice shot of this species.

Somehow missed this one!
Wonderful pose to show off the bright colors of one of my favorite ducks.
Nice detail and water.
