Approaching of dramatic clouds near Barra dos Remedios Beach, located on Camocim, Ceara State, Northeast of Brazil.

I know that a scale element will be fundamental on a shot like this, so I hire a native fisherman to go with his raft (I choose a red one) to the chosed place and stay there the necessary time to get the shot. I had to wait almost one our to get a window of light inside of the clouds, but I think the result compensate the waiting and the investiment on the raft.

Canon 5dmkII, 115m (canon lens 100-400f/4.5-5.6) f/16, nikon circular polarizer, lee graduated 0,45, gitzo trippod plus RRS 55 ball head.

Hi Alex, welcome to NPN! Nice sense of scale, lighting and color contrasts make this work for me.

Hard to find anything to critique here, except this image should be posted in our Man and Nature Gallery (see the drop-down Forum menu at upper right of your image) and not the Landscape gallery due to the presence of Man in the image (the landscape gallery is wilderness-only). I have moved it to the correct gallery now. We'll cut you some slack on your first post

Again, very nice image.

Sorry! I posted the wrong image! The correct image shoud be this one! The light is more dramatic and there are light and shodows area that to me make a big diference. If there is a way to replace the photo I'd like to know how can I do this. Thanks again!

Alex, no, but you can just add it on like you've done here with a note added to the title saying "+ repost" or something like that. I like them both.

Hi Alex :wavey: Welcome to NPN and the Man and Nature Gallery! Great first post. I like your first version best since there is detail in the background trees which is not present in your repost. I really like the dramatic sky. Just a minor nit but you may want to clone out the small shrub on the bottom edge of the image. To make the most of your NPN experience, be sure to comment on other's images since for sure you will get more comments and input on your images. Have fun! NPN is a great place for learning.
