Great-winged Petrel

Went out on our first pelagic for the season on Sunday. A big swell and rather lumpy conditions early on made it hard to focus on birds as they whizzed and wheeled by. Conditions were overcast.

Beautiful. If I were deing really picky I might prefer the bird very slightly further to the right of the frame, but no big deal.

Nice capture -- the choppy water makes a good background and I like the downward extension of the far wing.

Nice petrel shot. Sounds like the conditions were tough, but this shot is nice and sharp.
