Cedar Canyon from West

Here is a different view of Cedar Canyon in western Nebraska. I was scouting out some game trails on top of the buttes. The sun was setting and I was heading back to my vehicle. This shot was made just after the sun had set looking east. The light was very pleasant and this gives a more over view of the area. Again, I appreciate your comments.

Looks like gorgeous country Richard, but overall the image looks very flat. I believe you could have a real winner here with some additional curves or levels adjustment. There's also a dust bunny in the left center sky. I had no idea Nebraska was so pretty.

Great near to far comp Richard. I didn't know you guys had a view like this out there. I'll second Bill's suggestion on showing off the side lighting against the softer light.

I like the detail here and muted colors. They seem to complement each other.

Nice comp with some excellent depth. A very pleasing image, and this might be a place you want to revisit in Spring when the grass is green and the wildflowers might be blooming!

That is a wonderful view, Richard. Kind of reminds me of some of western North Dakota where a friend of mine lives. I think the large version of this looks really nice. A place to take a nice deep breath of air. Wish I was there. Nice work.

You have done a great job of capturing the soft light here Richard. I like how you have used the pines as a lead in line and the depth they create is awesome. The earth tones are sublime too. Cheers

A wonderful shot here. Great DOF on this. With the larger version, it's just like I'm standing there taking the view in. And isn't that what it's all about? Super.
