Not picture perfect by any means, but I like all the activity squeezed into the frame here. There's a Cedar Waxwing taking off, one landing, and one getting a drink..Goldfinch drinking FG as well.

The small stream is frozen solid right, looks like an "icy runway" to me.
It was fun to watch, with the birds slipping & sliding, sometimes on their butts with feet spread wide :)
F/7.1, 1/1300th, ISO 1000, 1D M3, 300mm f.2.8 + 1.4x ext. 90% of FF, Heavy overcast.

I really enjoy this candid behavioral shot of these birds, Howard. The central bird looks like its dancing. :smile:
