Cullasaja Falls

I started using fiber paper for my b&w prints - really makes them pop - and have gone back to re-print a few older ones that I thought would benefit. Of course once I open the file I can't help tweaking the processing. Seems as if I always find something I find that I think will make the image better. So this is one from about a year ago that I tweaked the contrast and lightened the trees a bit.

C&C appreciated.

Great job going with B&W and with the composition. Classic.

I like this a lot better than the thumbnail had me thinking I would! I think it might be even better with a little more tonal separation. You could try some dodging of the tree branches and evergreen foliage to try and make them stand out against the rock, and shadow more???

Barry, a very fine and interesting composition. I especially like the way the falls emerge from the background, like a crescendo increasing to the foreground! Also experience the rhythm of the cascades. There is great dynamic within the otherwise serene surroundings.

Good comp and I like the distance the water travels...lot of depth. It looks like there's some nice detail there, but hard to tell without a larger version.

Classic B&W conversion. Great tones here.
