Just practice

I am just starting to do all processing in Photoshop and used this one for practice. Any suggestions for a good tutorial would be appreciated.Currently I am using "Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 DIGITAL CLASSROOM" and am not fond of it.
I visited the "Birds of Prey" folks here in S.C. and it was very educational. It also alowed me to practice some flight shots - my aim is low on my new camera. This of course is not a flight shot but I chose it to work on. I think that this is the only captive that I have posted in Avian and I may post another one or two as I try to improve in Photoshop.Thank you all for your patience and please make Photoshop suggestions for improvement. For example I know that I should be able to bring out more detail in the well lit feathers above the eye.I played with the contrast and sharpening and the result was not as good as I had hoped.

Brightened the shadows, got rid of a couple of dust bunnies,NR,sharpened. It seemed like a few basocs to work on.

I started to delete this because of the same Bg problems I had with my Paintshop processed images but decided to feed the Dog and let my frustrations ease and come back. Would someone please check the file sizes for me to see if they are correct.

Thanks

The 1200 px version is only 57.8 KB so it is extremely compressed. (500 KB allowed)

The 720 px is only 21.1 KB. (300 KB allowed)

When you find that great photoshop book please share it with me. For a first attempt I like the result. The tight framing really works well. :toast:

I know that I should now be in the digital forum and will go again after checking the file size on this.

Thanks
