White Balance sunny

COmments and Suggestions always appreciated. This was a full frame shot and I had to add canvas on the top. I know it's a little tight. Thanks for looking. Have a great week. Please see larger version. I had to reduce this file so much that it was a number 6 for the 200KB file.

Stunning complementary BG and sharp where it needs to be. A very good portrait of this species.

David, to me with the added canvas the framing is fine. Really nice background, and really nice sharpness and detail on the bird. Really nice image.

I like the complementary colors and the up swing on the wings. Background looks great

Wonderful! I find Pintails to be about the toughest duck to approach around here, and they're also pretty speedy in flight! A challenge to be sure, and you did a great job here. :toast:

A very nice flight shot.

Something is wrong with your compression work flow. The larger version is only 50.5 KB in size - about 1/10th of the allowed posting limited.

Edit:

Worse: the 720 px version is only 14.2 KB. The posting limit is now 300 KB.

Love this capture. As usual your flight shots impress me. You are really nailing shots with the 600mm. Next time we meet, lets talk about uploading our postings. I would like to know if I am doing it correctly also ( see Richard D's comment ).

Richard and Harry,
Thanks for the information regarding compression work flow. Harry, as you know I am terrible at post procesing and only after talking to you did I discover that I needed to convert my images from RGB to sRGB which was why so many of my images posted were strange looking, oily looking, poor colors, and not sharp. Thank You my friend. Mia once mentioned to me almost a year ago that one of my posts was very tiny indeed but I did not know how to change. If there is anyone who can walk me through the compression process I would be thrilled to learn. Richard, you have helped me before on a question I had when I first signed up about a year ago. I would love help from you or anyone who can provide it to me and others. This might not be the place so an e-mail would be fine. Now every one really knows how bad my processing skills are. By the way I use Photoshop elements 8. I would be happy to upload a correct image size if I can learn how to do it. This is why I love this community. We can all help each other out. Thank you very much in advance.

Richard,

See if this image works better. I think you may have figured out why my posted images are so small. MANY THANKS to you if this works. The colors look much better to me as well. If not I'll keep on trying.

Looks like we figured out the problem. The repost is just under 100kb and looks a lot better.
