I arrived at White Sand National Monument before dawn in the light rain. When I climbed on to the sand dune, the rain stopped, what waited for me was the scene that I will never forget.

What a surreal scene! Fascinating cloud forms, and the landscape is a perfect accompaniment for that weather.

WOW, nice landscape! I hate to say, but the horizon is tilted to the right a tad, but otherwise what a great image

Quite some light and atmosphere there, John. The large version really shows it off. Great catch!

This one holds my interest but at a very different level tan most photos. It's the washes of textures and light that make this work more so than the actual scene I think. Quite an interesting study in light.

Amazing conditions John. The colors in the sky are a bit strong for my tastes...I'd consider desaturing the some. Very intense capture!

I really like the way the texture of the sand and clouds complement one another. Yet you have wonderful contrast between the warms colors of the sand/sunlight and the cool blues of the sky and mountains. Nice work.

Beautiful light, that looks like a very special scene indeed. The tones in this work very well, I think. Nice one.
