YUM. Epic lines and light...not sure about the centered sun as the palms on the right/sun middle/nothing left leaves it a bit empty. Would have liked the sun to balance the palms in the bg. See what others say...killer fg and processing :)

This is really a wonderful shot Alex. Those sinuous foreground ripples leading into that beautiful sky make for a sublime composition. Might try cropping the palms altogether as they seem a bit distracting but this is superb work just as it is.

Thanks for take the time to view and comment my photo Aaron.

Your sugestion about to balance the palms with the sun is very good. I have a image taken on this same day that I think work more or less your idea (www.pbase.com/alexuchoa/cascavel), but I like more of this one.

Of course, for this image specificaly, If I could have the palms behind the rays the image will be even stronger however the sun was almost in the maximum position on the left so I presume that should not possible to make a photo with palms behing the sun (or the rays). Maybe a little more but not a significant difference.

Maybe I should clone out the palms on the left because they don't add much more in the scene. What do you think?

Great shot Alex. To me the waterline on the right leads nicely to the centred sun and the palms are insignificant enough to not distract ( but you certainly wouldn't lose anything if you were to crop or clone them out). I like it as is.

Beautiful image Alex. Excellent use of lines and texture. I could go either way with the palms..they are small enough that they don't really bother me, but I can see the rationale for cloning them out.

Alex,
Super photo again. Felicitações. Absolutelly loved the composition, the color, exposure is perfect. The palms could have been a bit farther from the edge, but actually are so small that it's not really an issue. Your use of the reverse grad is awesome. :toast:

Excellent foreground combined with great sky and very natural looking processing makes this an outstanding image. Good work.

This is a great photo. I find that the ripples in the sand lead my eye right to the sun and I'm not bothered at all by it being in the center. I find the palm trees slightly distracting

Excellent Alex! Love how the ripples lead my eye into the scene. Strong comp IMO and I love the lower prspective. The palms don't bother me (honestly, I didn't see them at first because they're so small). If the image were larger, maybe they would, I don't know. The FG is so strong it needs a strong counterpoint, which it has with the wonderful sun and clouds. Superb image.

Beautiful. The rippled sand looks great in this light and reflection. The palms could be a little farther in, but this looks great to me as it is. The clouds and sun are fantastic. :toast:

Those patterns are gorgeous! And spectacular light as well. I can see it with or without the palm trees.

I honestly didn't notice the palms having been so captivated by the light and those sensual ripples. This is outstanding and a joy to look at. Your processing is very realistic as well.

Very nice, Alex. The foreground here is captivating and your angle of view works perfect. The beams of light from the sun are just icing on the cake.

Wonderful sky to compliment the great foreground! I would crop out the palms as they are a bit distracting. Great image Alex!

Excellent photograph. There's so much to discover for the eyes. Foreground details, water flow, sun, clouds, palms. Keeps the eyes busy for a while, and makes the viewer look at the image for longer. Well done.
