David, the delicate buds are interestingly contrasting the mighty trunks. I could imagine cropping the water at the bottom to offer a more abstract and graphic composition. On the other hand, I like how these trees are emerging from the water. A pleasant shot!

Very nice composition. I like the pink in the trunks and it contrasts nicely with the few green branchs.

Great colors and composition David. I've been canoe shopping this past week, hoping to get my own cypress images. Well done.

Very nice, David. I'm amazed that you already have new spring growth. You are deep south.

I particularly like the large version. The colors and lines make this work as an abstract.

This is wonderful, David! I love these more intimate compositions of the mossy trees. The green buds add a great little accent. I do see Peter's point about the water - I often think about how these comps would look without the water, but in the end, I think I prefer having it in the image for context's sake.

Love that 'tiger stripe' on the tree!

Wonderful color in the trunk and beautiful intimate scene David. I also like the coppery reflection and elegent detail in the moss especially in the large view.

Beautiful colors especially in the trunk. The reflection is a good lead in to the rest of the image too. Hard to fathom spring, it is still another 8 weeks until we see leaf buds in the north country.

Stunning image, David. The brilliant green leaves against that brown moss speaks of spring so very well, and your phenomenal composition with the wonderful forms of the trees and the beautiful light makes this simply amazing.

You sure build some great comps, and capture amazing details. I always like the chocolatey brown water too!

I'll bet the fine detail in a large print would look great. It's a wonderful shot. I hate to admit, I like it equally as well with the green buds cropped out.
