Taken from my hide out in the yard.

I was getting ready to take some shots of the youngster when the adult suddenly came into shot and I instinctively pressed the button.

Not the composition I'd have liked, I had the bird central with spare room to the left but cut off the adult's tail on the right doh!, it all happened so quick and with a top speed of just 2.5 frames per second I only got the one shot.

Sony A350
Sigma 50-500
1/320th
f8
ISO 400
280mm
-0.3 stop exposure compensation
Tripod.

Not a bad effort, considering the 'old Sony' had 2.5 frames per sec., you did rather well!! Nice one Geoff.

Brilliant Geoff. Extremely well caught. A little tight on the rhs but considering you were set up for the single youngster then that is perfectly understandable. I'd be over the moon with this one.

A good bit of action caught and the movement in the wings works well.
Shame about the clipped tail though.

It is a shame about the tail but well caught would have to be quick to capture this
