Just recently the weather has been rubish, so I have been processing a back log of images, In which I came across this one taken around October time of a Daubenton's Bat in flight, one of a series of pictures of this specalized water Bat.

Great shot - I see very few bat shots, and this one is wonderful.

B/W Certainly works well here, I like the habitat inclusion.... (BTW you know that my old line manager was Frank Greenaway..... )

fantastic Dale. The B+W really adds to the night-time feel.

Superbly caught. I'm not overly keen on b/w for wildlife images but it seems to work well here. It would be interesting to see a colour version to compare.

A superb image Dale.
I think the black and white treatment works very well and I like the way the two diagonal lines frame the bat. :toast: :toast:

I think the weather is still rubbish...no end in sight either. Cracking shot of the bat...like the composition, although personally would prefer in colour, although the b&w processing looks good.

I have been asked by a few members to see the colour version!
I hope you like it as well.

Thanks for putting the colour one up Dale. I prefer it to the b/w, although in the colour version I would tone down or clone out the bright yellow leaf at the top of the fall. Just a case of personal taste.

Awesome sauce Dale - I think the BW works very well, but I must admit to preferring the colour version.
