Bradford Pear

Well the flowering trees are out in bloom in NE Texas especially the bradford pears. This photo was the first that I took while out on my excursion and it will also be my first submission to the Flora Gallery. I had some nice overcast skies that gave me the perfect opportunity to go macro hunting. I do not have a macro lens but I made do with what I have. Comments Welcome.

Cristina: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet and thanks for a good first post. I have one of these in my back yard just ready to pop. I especially like your whites and DOF management. This would be a little stronger for me cropped from the right to 5:4 ratio. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more, especially as our wildflower season heats up. >=))>

Lovely image, Cristina ! I like the trail of out of focus flowers in the bg offsetting the main blooms ( whether you should crop them a bit or not I am not myself sure ) and the whites are just right. Look forward to seeing more from you.

Welcome Cristina, and a nice starting post. I agree with the crop and really nice light and control of the whites.

Welcome to the gallery Cristina. Beautiful image and mood conveyed. I do agree with Bill that the image would be stronger for my tastes cropped to 5:4 from the right - just puts more emphasis on the in focus blooms. A very fine image as posted however. I look forward to seeing more.

Welcome Cristina to the forum. I like the sweeping line of the branch through the image and DOF management. Only nit from my standpoint would be to have a little more room on the bottom to completley capture the lower blooms to fill out the arch of blooms.

Welcome, Cristina! I am so jealous your flowers have started to bloom (we're expecting 6in of snow on Tuesday!). I like the context of this image, but wish for slightly more room at the bottom as previously mentioned. The curve of blossoms is awesome! I look forward to seeing more!
