Well time moves on and this primula sports more bloom. This is 2 days later in time from the previous post. Pretty much same processing.

Great light, strong comp, interesting textures, beautiful rich color palette - I liked the last Bob but prefer this. Outstanding photography for my tastes.

After seeing this I went to relook at your other picture. I think I like this one even better. Great placement; square format works great for this. The focus is very clear and the lighting is wonderful. Plus outstanding colors and contrast. Beautiful shot!

I love the very well balanced composition of this photo, Bob. The cyan color of the primula leaves shows its blue, which make a pleasant stark contrast with the nice yellow of the flowers. More light for the shades have blown-up some areas of the larger flower, where the yellow shows no details. What do you think about lowering the highlight locally? Anyway, I like the image very much.
Take care

This is a beautiful trio. The lighting really gives it a wonderful 3 dimensional affect. I also love the subtle colors (purple and blues) running through the leaves as they frame the flowers. And I think the square crop is perfect

With this background, the flowers really look like you could reach out and touch them and feel the texture of the leaves and flowers on your fingers..

I tend to put flowers on a black background. Although that would be lovely....I like your "natural beauty" version best. It is really rich and filled with depth and mood. It is really refreshing to see the flowers as you saw them. not with a blurred BG. Those photos are beautiful in their own way. But the leaves here give you a wonderful backdrop! Wouldn't change a thing :toast: It really is a beautiful, peaceful image. :toast:

I think the colors are even richer in this image, and I'm still enamored of the contrasting textures. Beautiful image
