Shot this several years ago, but never got around to processing it. Nothing super dramatic, but I do like the strong side light provided by the sun just clearing the horizon on my right. Shot at Cape San Blas, FL.

Please view LARGER version for much better detail.

There's a lot to like about this photo, Bill. Composition is very good. Like that you favored the water over the sky and that the left and right land tend to balance each other. I also like the light you captured with most of it soft and subtle in the sky and water with more saturation on the terrestrial part. Works well; a very serene look to it.

Really pretty Bill. I especially like the inlet on the left hand side. My only suggestion is to crop out that stray piece of land coming in on the right above the grass. Lovely work.

Beautiful light and balance in your composition. I especially like the sharpness of the grasses and trees against the soft colors of the sky and water.

Great light and wonderful balance to the comp Bill. Great job on a fairly minimal scene!

The gorgeous light on the pines and flowing comp make this a wonderful image, Bill. Makes me want to push off in a kayak and see what's around the point.

Beautiful work Bill. That soft clear light on the pines and spartina grass is really lovely.

Lovely shot with terrific lighting. I especially like the sweep of the cloud reflections in the foreground water and the delicate balance between the two land masses coming in from opposite sides.

I love the light and the colors. I am a bit on the fence about the grassy area on the right, though. I will need to ponder this a bit more.

Bill,

Nicely done. The side light works very well. My eye wants to see more of the shoreline on the right so as to balance the comp a bit more. It also looks like there is a slight CW tilt of the horizon. The color and detail are very nice.

I like how the land masses seem to be floating in the sky Bill probably due to the ethereal reflection. Beautiful work!
