Gull Silhouette

Taken over the sumer

Nikon D300s 300 f4 + 1.7X TC HH crouched
f/6.7
1/2000s
ISO 1600

The techs are a little silly because I had been shooting the opposite direction trying to squeeze out the last bits of light.

Cropped to about 85% for compositional purposes, noise reduction on BG, minor clones, curves and levels adjustments in ACR and CS5 on 27" iMac

- Luke

P.S. some may remember I was inquiring why my images with lots of colors look muddy on Chrome, turns out they don't use color profiles because it "slows down the browser". Blah

I like this a lot Luke, beautiful colors and a wonderful silhouette. I love how the light shines through the nostril and the addition of the crab adds a lot to the scene,

That's a beauty, Luke. I like it a lot. To help define the Crab, it would be cool to see the silhouette of the other claw too. :toast:

I really like this one, Luke. The color and light are fantastic and the silhouette is incredibly detailed, even with a little light shining through the "nose".

Really nice silhouette, Luke. The crab and partially opened bill are great. Awesome colors. A small nit in a great image, but I am wishing for the full reflection.
