Dog's tooth violet

I found this plant two days ago during a walk in the wood.
It produces a solitary white, pink or lilac flower at the beginning of spring. I like how it comes out from the mulch made by the dry leaves.

Thanks for viewing.
C&C are very welcome.

A lovely image, Monica, I like the contrast between old and new.

Great to see this Monica, here where I live they will be coming up any day now as well. They are also known as a "Fawn Lily" or "Trout Lily" due to the spots on the leaves resembeling that of a young fawn or a trout. Thanks for sharing.

Here's a link to a shot of one on my website.White Fawn Lily

Our fawn lilies are about a month away. The leaves are more rounded than this one. I like the color harmony and the depth of field in general, but I might shave a sliver off the top.

Nice color. Stands out very well from the BG. Trout lily is on my list to get this spring/summer. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. Dog's tooth violets (also called Trout Lilies in the USA) are one of my favorite spring wildflowers. I've never seen a purple one before, ours are yellow.

Real cool subject, Monica! The lilac color stands out nicely against the brown. I do wish the leaf were in focus too, and the green in the urhc is a bit distracting, but this is a terrific match for the theme.

Great spring bringing life image. I had no problem with the little bit of green until I read Stans comment --now it bothers me a little. Its all Stans fault.
