Hi

I'm currently in two minds about this image. I spent some time working on it this afternoon using Tony Kuyper's luminosity masks among other techniques. It's a pano stitch using two images taken with a Nikkor 28mm shift lens at either extreme on FF camera.

Does it work? Is the colour alright? Are there any suggestions as to improving it. Like i say, I'm in two minds about the image...a situation that occurs whenever I spend time working on an image (you lose sight as to whether it's actually worth the time at all).

Thanks for looking. Any c & c always welcome and appreciated.

Cheers
E

Hi Emil

For me the image is a little bit ho hum! pleasant enough but not one that would thrill me to go out and process it or spend more than a few moments on. It's a pleasant sky without much drama and a nice lot of tufted yellow flowers that look a little like a ragwort or similar. The foreground is just a wee bit messy.

I think you did a really good job with the subject, Emil. I like the somewhat inverted light with the sky being darker than the flowers. It provides an interesting sense of light in the yellows that adds interest to the scene. I could see burning down the foreground a bit maybe to put more visual emphasis on the yellow flowers.
