I like the concept and the color. I just wish there was part of it in sharp focus.

I looked at the original and it is sharper. I was going for an artistic effect. I wasn't paying attention to sharpness, as this is a "mood" piece. But, it would have been a stronger burst of spring had it been sharper. A very different, but fresh effect. I might have a another go with this subject...using your suggestions.
You are right, these wild onions are "always" a cool shape. Find a field of them and see!

I used my 60D yesterday, and Wayne, I think I'm going to have to get a macro lens. I could not get all of the flower in focus!

Nice colors and comp, Lucy, but as already mentioned, it's pretty "fuzzy."
Good luck with the new DSL. You can do some wonderful things with bigger cameras, but unfortunately, getting a a whole bud in focus is MUCH harder with bigger equipment. Soon you'll be relying on the tripod and props to hold flowers still or protect them from the breezes. It's all part of the fun!
