A Delicate Winter

One final image from Redwood Mountain Grove in Sequoia Nat'l Park, taken a few weeks ago. There was a hint of nice light on the big trees, and I used Tony's saturation/luminosity masks to accentuate the effect. Thanks for your comments!

I love the abstract qualities and stark beauty of the snow covered branches against the red wood trunks. Beautiful capture Jason!

Had no idea what this was from the thumb and I still had to struggle in the is full-size version. Absolutely love it when this happens. What a fine abstract, Jason!

Jason: I had no clue what this was from the thumbnail. What a pleasant surprise when it opened. Well seen and very nicely captured. >=))>

Great abstract, it must have been challenging to pick out the pattern of branches

This is awesome Jason. The thumbnail looked almost inverted compared to the larger image, which is awesome. I find it amusing that this is just as good, if not better than some other photographers' abstract images, yet it is receiving so much less commentary...funny how that works. ;]

Beautiful photograph man.

I love this Jason, this is the kind of work I really dig. Nice balance you did with the redwoods!

Nice contrasts and a very interesting shot overall. Perhaps a bit busy, but it certainly works.

The layers make my mind engage in this image to decipher all of the information here. Tricky, but that makes it interesting.

I didn't want to overlook this one. I'm sure it looks fantastic as a big print. But at this small size, I can't get wrapped up in the details like I want to. Maybe someday, we'll meet, and I'll get to see it in print?

The reduction to a few colors and white, together with the contrast in dimensions offers an interesting surrealistic effect. I appreciate all the delicate details and textures. Your image has a great artistic impact for me.
